    #1: Houston is Brat-centric

Saddle Up! This reunion is going to be BIG because Texas has the most registered Brats – and Houston is Brat-centric. We are expecting up to 1000 Brats in Houston Memorial Day weekend. So don’t live vicariously through Facebook posts – join us LIVE!

ABI's database shows that there are 976 registered Aramco Brats with a Texas address and over 350 in the Greater Houston area alone! That’s a lot of Brats who simply need to drive or take a cab to the reunion over Memorial Day weekend.

Now California boasts the 2nd largest Brat population with 696 registered addresses for Brats. Good news because right now there are round trip airfares from LA to Houston for around $255 and roundtrip airfares from San Fran for around $350.

Florida comes in third with 321 Brat residents, and it looks like round trip airfare from Miami to Houston, for example, can be bought for around $300. Not bad, right? We promise your investment will pay off in priceless memories! Why not sign up for air fare alerts or buy those plane tickets today?

Although Saudi Aramco might not like the current dip in oil prices…gas and air fares are certainly cheaper which will ensure that Brats can get down/up/over/south/north/east or west to Houston!

As a few of you have discovered, the Omni Houston Hotel is currently full.  We have made overflow arrangements with the nearby Royal Sonesta Houston Hotel at 2222 West Loop South.  It is within walking distance (1.7 mi), but you can also utilize hotel shuttle services for transportation between the 2 properties. Additionally, Metro bus service (#33) is available on South Post Oak Blvd. every 20 minutes.

You can make a reservation by using this link Aramco Brats Guestrooms or by calling 1-800-766-3782 and using group code 0521ABRATS  to get our special rate of $109 (plus applicable state and local taxes).  The group rate is good for reservations made through April 30, 2015 after which attendees will be extended best available rate.  Reservations may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to checkin without losing first night's deposit.

There are many other hotels within a 3-mi radius of the Omni Houston, including a La Quinta Inn and several extended stay places such as Hampton Inn and Sheraton Suites.  For your convenience, we've provided a map below with hotel listings.  Zoom in and click on a specific hotel to check pricing for Memorial Day weekend.

Brats...online registration for the 2015 ABI Reunion in Houston is imminent (a link to online registration will follow this week), but we wanted to stress the importance of your arrival Deep in the Heart of Houston on Thursday night, May 21st, if you can swing it.

The Houston Reunion Committee/ABI have "Texas-Big" plans unlike any other Brat reunion in the history of Brat reunions -- including an organized BRATStravaganza on Thursday evening.

Please join us Thursday evening from 8PM to 2AM at a private party in The Black Swan - a famed nightclub/lounge owned and operated by the Omni Hotel. Simply take the elevator down to the bottom floor and enjoy drink specials, a dance floor (complete with disco ball), live DJ and karaoke -- just for Brats.

And you globetrotters know that flying on a Thursday is more cost effective, so be sure to book your hotel room at the Omni for Thursday through Monday.

If this news flash isn't enough to entice you to boot, scoot and boogie on down to Houston for Thursday night...stay tuned for our "Top 11" reasons to attend this reunion. Book your hotel room soon...BIG news travels fast and space is becoming limited!
