2025 Dammam Well #7 Award

The Dammam Well #7 Award is presented at the Biennial reunions to Brats who have gone above and beyond on behalf of the Brat community.  The individuals are nominated by the ABI Board and the presiding ABI President selects the honoree.  We also provided a form for members to nominate an individual for consideration. For the 2025 Biennial Reunion in Palm Springs, it was awarded posthumously to Dawn Kolb (DH 92). 

ABI President Liz Germani presented the award during the banquet with these words: 
What can I say about Dawn Kolb?
She was a force – a vibrant, unforgettable presence in the Aramco Brat community.  I think she truly knew almost every Aramco Brat between the ages of 18 and 80 (OR 92 in Ali B’s case).  If you ever met her, she remembered your name, your class, your district.  I know many of you probably first met her as she greeted you in the registration room.

Dawn ran the raffle like a pro (we are suffering a little bit this year, luckily, she left notes).  But it wasn’t just about handing out winning raffle items.  It was about building excitement, creating connection and drawing people together.  She brought joy and little mischief to it all.  Just enough to keep things lively and real.
More than anything, she was always there to help a Brat.  No matter the ask, no matter the time, she showed up.  Tirelessly.  Generously.  With a smile, with humor and with love. She worked her butt off at everything single reunion, not for recognition, but because she believed in what the reunions stand for:  family, friendship, history, and the ties that last a lifetime.

We have lost someone irreplaceable, but Dawn’s spirit lives on in everyone us who had the privilege of knowing her.

So today, we don’t just remember her.  We honor her by continuing to support brats and Aramco Brat reunions. Rest well, Dawn.  You gave us your all – and we are so much better for it."
