Aramco brats may have been a spreader event:

    Dear reunion attendees,

We hope those of you who attended the ABI Reunion in The Woodlands this past weekend enjoyed your time reconnecting with your Brat community. Like with any large gathering, the risk of disease transmission can increase in such situations. It has come to the Board's attention that a handful of attendees have tested positive for Covid-19 following the reunion. If you are feeling under the weather, we encourage you to take common sense precautions to minimize any further transmission. Take care of yourselves and your family so we can see everyone again soon.

    Dear All,

I am indeed feeling under the weather, and I'm looking to schedule a Covid test. I am vaccinated with the advanced version (but not eligible for another booster) with my last vaccination perhaps in January. Thought I was getting a severe case of allergies, because Houston weather since the reunion end it has been brutal. Nominal temperature today/Thursday at 100, but feels like 111. Please pass onfo on to those who might have been in contact with me, and if and when I get my Covid test results I shall pass them on to you whether the news be bad or good. Be healthy, Jamal "Jim" Hattab
PS Helen is asymptomatic and was also last vaccinated at the same time as I.

    Followup:

I've just tested positive with the rapid test. As I understand it, the rapid test sometimes produces false negatives, but when it produces a positive, that is reliable, so therefore I have Covid. Please let those from my year and surrounding years know that I have come up with the plague.

There is a medication similar to Tamiflu that works for Covid if it's taken soon after a positive test. It's called oseltamivir
    Here's one article: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9054703/

my symptoms: low-grade temperature of 99.8 Fahrenheit, tickle in my throat but not sore, runny nose, general tiredness, and finally a positive test.

Be careful and be healthy, Jamal Jim Hattab 1970
