|Candidate for President: Hirath Ghori DH75
|Having built a successful career in the Aerospace and Defense Industry for the past 30+ years, including factory management, program management and business development, I have utilized these diverse skills to build a successful team of individuals to manage the AramcoBrat organization. I seek to continue the development of the next generation of Brats to effectively take over the management of the ABI through a determined succession plan.
This past term, the Board has taken on a more active, hybrid role in the planning and management of the 2017 reunion. I hope to continue the hybrid development and pass the reigns after this third and my final term.
|Candidate for Vice President: Sandra Kerr-Louchard DH84
|I have 20 years of professional experience in marketing, sales and event planning, and attended Aramco Schools from Kindergarten through ninth grade. My first Aramco Brat Reunion was in Asheville and I have not missed one since. This experience motivated me become a DH84 Class Representative. With the help of many classmates, I have located several long lost Brats, generating a significant turnout from our class at the past four reunions. Along with the generous support of local Brats in the reunion cities, I have overseen the 80's Class Dinners, which have become major events in their own right. During the last reunion, this joint class event achieved its highest attendance yet with 155 attendees! I am currently the 2017 Reunion Chair and have enjoyed working closely with the ABI Board to make our first coastal reunion a reality. I look forward to having the opportunity to continue to serve the Brat community as part of the ABI Board.|
|Candidate for Treasurer: Tom Littlejohn DH84|
|I first joined the ABI Board in 2009 and am currently serving my fourth term as the ABI Treasurer. I truly enjoy serving the ABI membership and would be honored to continue as Treasurer for another term. During my term of service we have evolved ABI’s accounting from simple spreadsheets to a more robust QuickBooks accounting system, improved online and onsite payments, and boosted investment returns on ABI’s funds. I have over 22 years of experience in the Treasury/Corporate Finance organization of a fortune 500 company. My goal for the next term will be to continue to institute best practices in finance and accounting in serving the ABI membership and to keep ABI financially sustainable for many reunions to come.
|Candidate for Secretary: Amber Perkins-Neal DH86
|It is with great enthusiasm that I respectfully submit my application to serve as Secretary. I’m a seasoned administrator with expertise implementing and managing programs in a variety of settings including private foundations, nonprofit organizations, higher education, and scientific research. These skills provide me the opportunity to give back to the Brat community that has had a profound impact on my life and to remain better connected to those with similar experiences and background.
In 2015, I was appointed to the AramcoBrats, Inc. Board as Database Director and am the Class Representative for DH86. In addition, I manage the responsibilities of Class Representative Director and serve on the Nominations Committee and the Reunion Oversight Committee. As Secretary, my goal is to continue with the excellent effort of Gina Hess-Tanner to keep Board business organized.
In 2015, ABI held its first online election. As a result, more Brats voted and a large percentage of votes were submitted online. To decrease cost and increase efficiency in the election process, an amendment to “Section 5: Nominations” of the ABI bylaws is proposed below.
The current bylaw is:
“Nominations and ballot preparations shall be completed by such a time as will allow a mailing of information regarding candidates and issues to the Brat membership. Brats may vote by absentee ballot or by live ballot at the biennial ABI reunion. All ballots must identify the voting Brat. All ballots will be available for inspection by any Brat at biennial ABI reunions.”
The proposed amended bylaw is:
“Nominations and voting preparations shall be completed in a time frame that allows information regarding candidates and issues to be sent to the Brat membership in advance of voting deadlines. Voting may occur online, by mail or at the biennial ABI reunion. All ballots must identify the voting Brat. Results of the election will be available for inspection by any Brat at biennial ABI reunions.”
